Course Update from Robert:

No change with the weather then!

October was the wettest month of the year so far with over 6 inches of rain and the 1st of November is continuing the trend with another 9mm recorded this morning.

The coring through mid October went as planned and the greens have been overseeded through the autumn. A sand dressing went out last week and another is planned when the weather plays ball.

Some drainage work has been started on holes 4 & 9. We discovered a blocked outlet from the main through the 4th fairway and this has been rectified which will improve matters.

A new drain has been pulled from the right rough on 9 approximately 30 yards short of the green. The intention here is to run this parallel to the fairway with laterals then running across the fairway at 10m intervals. Two other wet spots at the swale have been picked up and tied into the existing drainage system.

The irrigation system has been drained down for the winter and maintenance is also planned for the coming weeks.

We have 2 new additions to the staff.

Malcolm MacLeod and Calum Kane both started through October and are settling in well.
