Massive thanks to everyone for getting involved with Sundays Captain’s v Vice Captains Season Opener – hopefully something that will become a traditional start of the golfing year at the Club. Great to see so many members, old and new, mixing together in the Golfers Lounge before and after the golf today.

Played in brutal conditions there were plenty of emphatic wins from both sides but shout-out to Vice Captain Kevin Hamilton for putting me to the sword 4&2.

Thankfully my team dug me out a hole and the end result was a drawn match with the final score 9.5 – 9.5. (No need to mention the 19th)

Thanks again to Kev for support in getting today organised and to George and all the Glasshouse staff for looking after us before and after the round.

Finally, a special shout-out to Brian McCrone for donating the Titleist Vokey wedge that we raffled off today, raising £175 for the Beatson Cancer Charity.

Hopefully plenty of sunshine is coming our way and we can enjoy the course in all it’s glory over the next few months.

Look forward to seeing you at the club over the course of the year ahead.

Consider the 2024 season, underway.
