We have been allocated Hole number 10 for this years Open Championship (please see below Hole Map) and I know that you are all excited as to the colour of Jacket for this year, well, it`s Brown and Hugo Boss.
We are in the final preparations for ensuring an effective role within the Open Marshalling Team and as you will see from the attached Map, there are two crossings to deal with on our hole. We will also need 15 Marshals per shift (early and late) to cover Sunday and Monday and 24 Marshals per shift to cover Tuesday to Sunday. At this time we have not been given the specific time that we should be at our hole to start Marshalling (as we are hole 10, we will be slightly later than the first nine holes) this time will be given closer to the briefings as well as anticipated finishing times.
Kevin and myself can now get together to complete our Rota, car share etc which we intend to have ready before the briefings.
Hopefully everyone has now completed their portal registration and are looking forward to the security briefings that are planned for the 18th of June at Rowallan Castle 7pm. If anyone cannot attend the Rowallan session, but can attend another club, then please let me know. Also, in the unlikely event that you cannot make any of the briefings, please let me know ASAP so that I can contact the Marshals Team.
The briefings will cover almost all of your questions on the role that we will play, however, If you have any questions in the meantime then please let me know

We had an excellent turn out last year, saw two incredibly competitive finals with both matches going the distance with Scott Hendry crowned Singles Matchplay Champion while in the Doubles it was Steven Grant and Graham Foster who emerged victorious.
This year’s competitions will again be administered by Craig Nicol and Neil Paterson who will be your main points of contact should any queries or issues arise when playing out ties etc. (Many thanks once again gents)
Deadline for entries will be Sunday 28th April and we would be looking for payment for each competition to be made at the time of signing up.

This is open to all members with a handicap and will have a £5 entry fee with a deadline of Sunday 28th April to sign up to compete.
A sign up sheet will be available in the Pro Shop where your entry fee should be paid at the time of entry.
