Some Highlights for your attention!

Season Opening Weekend Social Captain v Vice Captain match Sunday 7th April the team format will be announced in due course.

Tuesday Lunch Club running all year – a chance for those to meet members outside of competition play, socialise and get familiar with scoring and playing Rowallan Castle.

Monthly Medals are now balloted and will be White Stableford to allow more socialising between groups and to increase participation with a more forgiving format.

Two or three 9 hole medals a month with scores counting towards a 9 hole aggregate competition.

Two Senior Opens bookending the year to sit alongside the Rowallan Open and New Ladies Open.

Reintroduction of eight Club Championship Qualifiers with last 16 going in to Matchplay event, played over two weekends.

Handicap Club Championships to remain the same as 2023 with Saturday Qualifier open to ALL 18 hole members with a valid CONGU handicap, Top 16 qualifying for Sunday Final – best NETT over 2 days.

We are hopeful that the Blue Monster Cup will also become an Ayrshire Doc Thom event (Ayrshire Scratch Order of Merit) so as to not only raise the profile of the cup & course but to invite Ayrshire’s best to take on the course at its Champions length. The membership will still play for the Cup with an additional prize added for the Ayrshire competition.

Please click for the 2024 Fixture List. A hard copy along with a full breakdown of each competition format will be included in the 2024/25 members booklet. A PDF version will also be emailed to the membership on April 1st.

Did you struggle for a tee time, or to find playing partners last Season?

Here what one of our members thinks…

“I can honestly say the friendliness of members and staff at the club is second to none. The golf course is maturing year on year and it is so easy to access a tee time whether it is for the weekend medals or just a bounce game. There are plenty of competitions and events throughout the season and the bonus of winter golf on full tees and greens gives the membership plenty of laughs whilst keeping the swing going”

It was another fantastic night at the Castle as 65 members and guests saw out the 2023 Season in style. Some great words from our Captain Blair Taylor ended in the announcement of our new Vice Captain Kevin Hamilton

A delicious two course meal was then followed by the prizegiving ceremony where those members were congratulated and received their prizes.

Thank you to Katy, Adam & the team for looking after us so well – it was truly first class.

Thank you to all those that attended and hopefully it has given some extra incentive to get your hands on some trophies in 2024!
